Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives with the Papa's

Everyone's heard of Guy Fierri right? You haven't?! Well, he's the chef on one of my family's favorite shows on the Food Network. Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. The other day my dad thought it would be cool if we found one of the restaurants that Guy visited here in Texas. Well, we were in luck when we found Twisted Root Burger Company. It seemed like a good place to try so we set off to Roanoke....

We were greeted by these friendly stools(:

Turns out that Twisted Root had some pretty good burgers! We found out from our walking wikipedia-Dad-that Twisted Root makes everything from scratch! Hand-rolled patties, hand-cut fries, homemade ice cream, homemade pickles and homemade root beer. Their burgers and fries both have a little kick but they are quite delicious(:



They even have their sister restaurant right next door! Mom wants to try Cowboy Chow next(:

Recently Jenn and I went to see The Princess and the Frog(: I was so excited for another Disney Princess that I jumped at the chance to see it. Fortunately it was a fabulous movie. The music was danceable and the characters were fun. Jenn seemed to like it also.

It's a New Year Folks

Ohhhh my! It's our first post of the New Year! It must sound like I'm incredibly excited....which I'm not...just trying to spruce things up a bit. Goodbye 2009, hello 2010! Happy New Year's everyone, hope it's not as incredibly boring as 2009....just kidding...maybe...
