Merry Christmas...

...and a very Merry Christmas it was. This year was the "useful gifts" Christmas. We mostly recieved accessories and other useful things. "Fashionable" gifts we would call them for Jenn(;
Merry Christmas to all and a Happy New Year(:

Ho Ho Ho!

Here are some late photos taken by my mother of the Flower Mound Christmas Parade featuring the Marcus Band((:

Partying It Up...Again

Today we went back to my Aunt & Uncle's house for yet another party. We were celebrating my cousin Lisa's graduation from cosmotology school and my Aunt Diana's niece's birthday. My mom made the cake shown above with a little help from Jenn and I(;
They were expecting some additional people so my Uncle thought he should be prepared. Haha.
Maybe she enjoyed that a little too much(;

Giving Thanks

We celebrated Thanksgiving with my Aunt Diana & Uncle Michael's family. It was definitely a party...haha(:
We were graced with some fabulous desserts baked and prepared by none other than Beth Papa(; She spent two or three days just baking for Thanksgiving! They were all praised and tasted delicious.

What A Break!

Jenn decided over the break that she would like to make ornaments so she and my mom picked up some glass bulbs and she set to work painting them and making them look perdy(;
I helped make a couple too(:
Recently, I have become a tad bit obsessive with country music...I've been listening to 96.3 The Texas Original since our Thanksgiving break started! I was also showing off the sweatshirt I made in fashion design. You may want me to explain the decal...well, ever since I came back from my cousin Maria's graduation I have been obsessed with their school mascot. I just think Battlefield Bobcats has a fabulous ring to it and besides I wish I lived in Haymarket.

Marching Season Comes to a Close

And finally, the latest and greatest, the Marcus Band. A couple of weeks ag we took a trip on charter buses down to San Antonio. We left after our annual Battle of the Axe game against Lewisville HS on Friday and drove all night. We competed at the BOA Super Regional that Saturday and won first place. Then, on Tuesday we competed at the UIL State Marching Championships and took home the gold and the State Champs title for the third time in a row. What a great way to wrap up Marcus Illuminaries and marching season 2010.

We also spent a day making Halloween goodies. Most of our time was spent on making peanut butter pumpkins though. We had found the version made by Reese's at Wal-Mart and had decided to give it a try. They turned out pretty tasty if you ask me.

A little bit of light snacking(;
