Promised Photos

A long time ago my mom told ya'll about our little DIY project. Well we've finally finished and I've got some pictures for you.

My walls are white and this is the new comforter that we bought(: I love my new room, it totally screams Michele!

Jenn's room is covered in polka dots! It's very colorful and it too has white walls. A great room to cheer up anyone.

The Vineyards

Some really nice pictures we took at the vineyards(:

Jenn and Her Boots

Jenn and her super cute new boots! Thanks Grandma(:

Christmas is Here!

A video I made of the clips my mom took of Jenn and I on Christmas day. Hope you enjoy(:

Snow in Texas!

We recently had a blizzard. Yes, a blizzard!
On Christmas Eve, Flower Mound was hit with a snowstorm that iced over the whole town!

Now I would be lying if I told you that Avery enjoyed our little blizzard. The first time I let him out to do his business he took one step, froze in place and turned around, scratching at the door to be let in. What a baby! It's a just a little ice!

Silence...

We are sorry for not posting in so long, my mom has been super busy with, well, life.

This is Michele, I will be taking over the blog since I will have a little more time to update it, and besides, I do most of the technical stuff(:

New posts will be up soon I promise!

Camping

Jenn's been wanting to go camping so we went over Spring Break. We had a lot of fun and the weather was perfect.
We also spent part of the break redecorating the girls' rooms. That has been a work in progress so I'll post those pictures as soon as we're done.

OMG

We started the high school registration process for Michele a couple weeks ago. They require us to map out all four years to ensure all her requirements are met. It took a while, but we got it done. I don't remember having so many options to choose from when I was in high school.

She also started practicing her flag twirling to try out for the color guard team in April. I just can't believe she's going to be in high school. They are growing up so fast. It makes me sad, but I have to admit we have a lot of fun. I think we have more fun now that they are older than when they were little. They are great kids and I am so proud of both of them.

Michele's Birthday

Michele turned 14 on February 13th and she wanted to make her own cake this year. I think it turned out really nice. Good job Michele!

Party People

We took her and her two friends Mady and Caitlyn to Shogun Steakhouse. It's one of those places where they cook on the grill in front of you. It was a lot of fun.

King Tut

We spent a day at Dallas Museum of Art. Unfortunately they don't allow photography in the exhibits. The King Tut exhibit was very heavily guarded.

Apartment Art

Michele took these. This is an apartment building across from Campisi's where we ate lunch. She thought the murals were really cool.

Crocodile Dundean

Friends of ours just bought a ranch near us and Dean was helping them move in. He didn't know he was going to have to use his mad skills. If it didn't have that big gaping hole from the shot gun I think momma could have had herself a nice purse. I here rattlesnake is good eats, but alligator is about as exotic as I get...I like gator!

Let's Go Hiking

Dean and our friend Roger use to ride their mountain bikes through this park when it was just a bunch of dirt trails. Now they turned it into a really nice nature perserve. You can still ride your bike, but the challenge is gone. Most of the paths are paved and there are a lot of people walking.

Way To Go Jenn!

Jenn started rock climbing at the beginning of the year and she is doing really well. I'm so proud of her. Thanks to her coach Munchie (Gillian) she helped Jenn overcome her fears and by the third day she made it to the top! She isn't able to flash (successfully complete a climbing attempt on first try without advice or instruction) a wall yet, but at the rate she is going I'm sure she will.

Pictionary, Pazookie & Popcorn

We had a little ice storm. They cancelled school the first day in anticipation of the bad weather which didn't come until that night. Then had to cancel the following day. While we were stuck inside we played Pictionary and the Wii and ate a lot of junk...we are junk food junkies. We love the pazookies at BJ's Microbrewery so when I saw these cookie skillets on clearance at Linens 'n Things I had to get them.

Congrats Lisa!

Congratulations to our niece Lisa. We are so proud of her.

How 'Bout Them Steelers

This year's football season has been a roller coaster ride. We had high hopes for the Cowboys and they couldn't even make it to the playoffs. Penn State had an awsome year, but didn't win the Rose Bowl. Colt McCoy (I love that name) and the TX Loghorns also had an awsome year and rallied to beat Ohio State at the Fiesta Bowl...what a game! Now the Steelers are on their way. Power of positive thinking...they will beat the Ravens on Sunday and they will win the Super Bowl.

It's Crazy

Our weather is unbelievable. We go from a high of 80 degrees one day to a high of 40 a couple of days later. I think it's been like this since November...it's crazy! The girls have another break coming up. They'll finish the last of their mid-terms on Thursday morning and get out at 12:30. Then they have Friday thru Monday off. Hopefully the nice weather will come back for the break.

Back to School

The girls completed their first week of school after the winter break. It's always hard to go back after being off for so long, but it wasn't too bad. I'm thankful our girls like school. They actually seemed excited...until mid term reviews were handed out. They spent part of the weekend studying.

Winter Park Christmas Parade

Happy New Year!

I don't have any pictures of our New Year celebration. I was having too much fun I guess. I do have these adorable pics of my sister's new miniature horse. Isn't he cute! His name is Joey B.
